Personal Description: Since graduating among the top of his class in 2004, Windson has appeared in over 20 productions in Singapore, with 4 original soundtrack recordings under his belt.
He originated the role of Xiao Jiang in The Theatre Practice's smash hit musical, If There're Seasons in 2007. A role in which Windson was invited to reprise in the sold out revival of the show in 2009. He also recorded the original soundtrack for the show. Windson was also involved in two other productions by The Theatre Practice: I Am Queen and Immortalx.
He had collaborated with I Theatre on a number of shows such as Moonbird, Summer Swarm of Songs, You Are Special, Little Red Hen, Rainbow Fish (in which he toured to 4 different cities in India.) and The Magic Paintbrush.
Being effectively bilingual in Mandarin and English and versatility as an actor had landed Windson with a wide variety of roles on TV, Film and stage, ranging from being a sickly to a gangster leader, a cowardly lion to a ferocious murderer, a diva octopus to a dancing puppet, with companies such as MediaCorp Studios, Gateway Entertainment, Dramabox, Toy Factory and SRT Young Co.
Teaching Experience: I have worked extensively with ACTs of Life since 2003, teaching Speech and Drama at The Singapore American Club, The Asian Civilization Museum and Cambridge Child Development Centres all over Singapore.
I also conduct Drama and Musical workshops to Primary and Secondary Schools.
My students had been seen on Disney Channel's Special on the High School Musical, and in the Singapore tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Teaching Approach: Personally I like to think of my lesson as more of a sharing session where I can share my knowledge. I like to conduct it in a friendly manner, without any of those Teacher-Student hierarchy. Thus, the students wouldn't feel intimidated to ask any questions or be afraid to make mistakes. To me, mistakes are beneficial as long as you learn from it.
My aim is to encourage and cultivate the students' passion in the subject and bring out the best in them to the best of their abilities and merit.
